Caroline Downs, age 86, of Big Clifty, passed away, Friday, April 28, 2023, at Springview Nursing and Rehab.

She was born on September 3, 1936, in Grayson County, to the late Paul and Eva Hawkins Williams. She worked in the livestock business for 56 years alongside her late husband, Harold Downs. They owned and operated Hart County Livestock Market for many years. She had been a member of Little Clifty Methodist Church since November 1947.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Bobby Coe.

Caroline is survived by her daughter, Susan (Lonnie) Coe of Big Clifty and a brother-in-law, Ray Downs.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Rogers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Little Clifty Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM, Wednesday and after 9 AM, Thursday at the funeral home.
