Bessie B. Howard was born in Breckinridge Co., KY. She was the daughter of Henry D. and Nettie Shrewsberry Smiley. She was married to Dick Howard. Bessie was a Housewife and a member of Madrid Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by one son Elroy Howard; three daughters Lena Mae (Clinton) Haynes, Margaret (Larry) Logsdon and Judy (Dale) Childress; 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great-grandchildren and 24 Great-great-grandchildren; one brother Harold Smiley; two sisters Lottie Woodard and Louise Ruddle; several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents one Great-grandchild Christopher Fountain and four brothers Homer, Joe, Sherman and Roy Smiley.

Visitation : Friday after 3:00 PM; Saturday after 9:00 AM until time of service at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home

Services : Saturday June 04 2011 at 2:00 PM at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home
