Alverta Gibson, age 69, of Leitchfield, KY., went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2011.

Alverta was a member of Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed at the Grayson County Clerks' Office and retired after thirty-five years of service.

Alberta was never married.

She was one of fifteen children born to the late Garland and Emma Carby Gibson.

Alberta will be missed by her surviving brothers;

Robert, Paul and Lowell Gibson all of Clarkson and her surviving sisters; Geneva Cubbage, Lillian Higdon, both of Clarkson and Anthonette Flake of Leitchfield and her surviving nephews and neices.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers; Harley, W.T., Troy, Euell, Jesse and Ralph Gibson and two sisters; Zelma Gibson and Frances Armstrong.

Services : Graveside services at 1:00 pm Sunday June 12 2011 at Little Flock Cemetery with Pastor Terry Priddy and Rev. Dale Duvall officiating.
