Alfred Powell was born in Jefferson County, Ky. He was the son of Fred and Pearl Dennis Powell and was married to Melvena Manion Powell. He was a Farmer; member of Broadford Baptist Church and member of Clarkson Masonic Lodge 720 F & AM.

He is survived by his wife, Melvena; two daughters, Regina Williams (Gary) and Carita Brents (Ed); two sons, Kevin Powell and Kenton Powell (Rhonda); one step-daughter, Karen Caummisar (Boots); one step-son, Neal Powell; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; his first wife Edra Nell; a step-daughter, Drusilla Home; and one daughter-in-law, Deirdre Powell

Visitation : Monday June 19 2017 from 2-8 PM CDT; Tuesday after 9:00 AM CDT at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home

Services : Tuesday June 20 2017 at 1:00 PM CDT at Lone Oak Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Vurles Logsdon officiating.

Interment : New Lone Oak Cemetery
