Aloysius Thomas "Al" Darst, age 68, of the St. Paul community, passed away, Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his residence.

He was born August 7, 1955, in Grayson County, to the late Tony and Rebecca Clark Darst. He was retired from Leggett and Platt and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Darst and Justin Darst and two sisters, Debbie Odle and Mary Rebecca Darst.

Al is survived by his wife, Janice Milliner Darst; a son, Bryon (Megan) Darst; a daughter, Kristie (Jeff) Rak; seven grandchildren, Shelby and Avery Davis, Kendyl and Cannon Rak and Waylon, Jack and Carter Darst; a brother, Aubrey (Wynee) Darst; four sisters, Lynda (Neil) Crawford, Cathy (Bruce) Meredith, Teresa (Rodney) Lush and Lisa (Mickey) Coates and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM (CST), Thursday, February 8, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Hohman officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will be at St. Paul Catholic Church from 2 to 8 PM, Wednesday and after 9 AM, Thursday.

Prayer service will be held at 6 PM, Wednesday, at the church.
